Mexican Coca Cola

Jul 10th

I don’t drink a lot of sodas typically, but there is something about summer and Coca Cola that go together like no other.  And, it’s often in the summer when I find myself indulging in a nice cold Coca Cola with a squeeze of lime.  To me, there is nothing like it on a hot day.

So, while shopping at Costco the other day I had to stop and pinch myself when I saw Costco selling a flat of Mexican Coca Cola – 24 bottles for $17.99.  Hecho en Mexico = muy bueno!  For those of you that don’t know, Mexican Coca Cola, unlike the stuff we can buy here in the States, is made with real cane sugar instead of corn syrup, so it tastes insanely better!  I much prefer the real deal.  I mean who actually LIKES corn syrup anyway?!?! Plus, the Mexican Coca Cola comes in those classic glass bottles with the painted on labels, and there’s just something about popping that cap and holding that sculpted bottle in your hand.  Every time I do I kind of feel like I’m in my own Coca Colacommercial.

And if that isn’t enough, the empty bottles make great outdoor vases for a Summer BBQ!  Oh, and I almost forgot, it makes the best rum and cokes ever!
